Our Green Initiative
At Kranq, we ultimately strive to eliminate our carbon foot print as much as we can before the foot print is even there. We began our sustainable business practice with the development of our business model over a decade ago.
Kranq’s main focus for our initiatives has always been with reduction. We believe reducing our impact on the environment whenever possible with innovation and creativity is our best solution to the challenges we all face in our communities.
Kranq continues to work very hard to reduce our environmental footprint by utilizing technological efficiencies. By building our proprietary software we can operate without the use of dispatchers. This allows Kranq to operate with less heat, power, and computer usage. Currently, for every one million dollars in revenue Kranq uses less than one tree. This is made possible by the use of e-invoices, we do not use waybills, we don’t print any of our emails, and we keep our offices sizes small.
Our driver fleet is maintained with smaller fuel efficient vehicles. We utilize our strategic partnerships to carry out our larger deliveries maximizing our reduction of fuel usage and pollution. We maximize the use of our bike couriers at a ratio of 3 bikes for every 5 drivers. These initiatives allow us to keep our drivers out of the downtown areas as much as possible while maximizing a 100% clean form of transportation.
Our overnight service and partnerships have also reduced our footprint. The major overnight courier companies use larger inefficient vehicles in the downtown core for collection of mostly envelopes from clients. At Kranq, we use bike couriers to pick up these packages with no emissions. We then have our partners pick up all of our clients overnight deliveries from clients at one location, a much greener and more efficient system for everyone.
Kranq has arranged for all of our offices to be located close to rapid transit as a policy.
We have a commission bonus for our drivers who purchase environmentally friendly vehicles.
